Tim Sullivan, president and chief executive officer of Ancestry.com rang the bell at the NASDAQ OMX Opening Bell Ceremony on Nov. 5!
Mr. Sullivan visited the NASDAQ MarketSite in New York City’sTimes Square to celebrate Ancestry.com Inc.’s (ACOM) initial public offering to The NASDAQ Stock market.

The company offered 7.41 million shares of common stock initially at $13.50 per share. Of the total shares offered, the company said it is selling a total of 4.07 million shares and a total of 3.3 million shares are being offered by selling stockholders, according to NASDAQ Company News. Ancestry.com granted underwriters up to 30 days to buy an additional 6
11,113 shares and selling stockholders have granted the right to purchase up to an additional 499,999 shares to cover over-allotments. The offering was led by Morgan Stanly of BofA Merrill Lynch. Jefferies and Company, Piper Jaffray, and BMO Capital Markets served as co-managers.
On Nov. 5, shares closed at $14.20, a 5.2 percent gain. On Friday, Nov. 6, stocks closed at $13.95.
Tim Sullivan has served as CEO of Ancestry.com since September 2005. Prior to joining Ancestry.com, he worked in management at Match.com, Ticketmaster Online-Citysearch, and The Walt Disney Company. Tim holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and was a Morehead Scholar at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His Sullivan roots hail from Ireland to great-grandfather Thomas Sullivan who immigrated to Lowell, Massachusetts in 1879.
