There will be many clues left by prior generations that will point to a likely place to look, and a general time frame. But how do you find out what sources of information exist? Which sources are the best for this time and place? Where do you go to find them? In the past these simple questions could have spelled the difference between going on with personal family history research, or giving up in despair. The FamilySearch Wiki is designed to facilitate attacks on the end-of-line brick walls. It forms a community where the most up-to-date information is always available.
Don’t worry what a Wiki is; just remember the FamilySearch Wiki is the first place to go when you want to go beyond the end of lines. | | | 01:00 PM | | Superstition North | FamilySearch Labs: What they are and Why you need to know | | (Beginner - Advanced)Have you ever said: “I wonder what they were thinking when they made this program work that way?” OR: “I could have helped them if they would have only asked, how can they find out my ideas?” FamilySearch Labs is the answer to those questions and much more. It is where YOU can help make better products. This presentation will explain what it is, the theory behind it, and excite you so much that you will bookmark the site and visit it regularly. |
